In Year 4, we follow the 5Ws by making sure everyone feels Welcome.

We share the Word of God through the things we say and do.

We protect the Welfare of everyone we meet so that we all feel safe and happy at school.

We Worship together, sharing our prayers and thoughts with God.

By doing these things we Witness the work and life of Jesus every day.

Class Information

PE days are Monday and Friday for 4W and Tuesday and Friday for 4B. This year, children can come to school in their PE Kits, please look at the Uniform Policy for details and make sure that it is weather appropriate.

Regular homework includes:

Spelling practise (Weekly)

Times tables on Times Table Rockstars (see below for information on the MTC)

Reading the home reading book your child brings home. Please read with your child every night.

Year 4 Statutory Times Table Check

The Multiplication Table Check (MTC) is a times table check that is issued by the Department for Education for Year 4 pupils towards the end of the school year. The check tests children's knowledge of all times tables up to 12 x 12. Please practise with your child on Times Table Rockstars as much as possible, as not only will this give your child plenty of times table practise, but it will also familiarise your child with answering times table questions against the clock, which is what happens during the MTC.
